The brand-new collection, revamped and reoriented under the aegis of Miguel Rodriguez, is presented at Baselworld 2005. The Brand continues innovating and inventing by presenting the Peripheral Double Rotor that embodies the evolution of the double rotor concept that shifts from the center to the periphery. The House of Perrelet develops, finetunes and produces the first so-called “Double Rotor” automatic caliber – a unique system that connects the oscillating weight of the automatic winding system with a rotor on the dial side. The Dipteros model thus represents an important step towards the Brand’s future and heralds a number of original and exclusive developments. Perrelet presents a model that is soon to become a truly iconic timepiece: the Turbine. Once again based on the socalled “Double Rotor” movement, the oscillating weight on the dial side takes the shape of a propeller rotating at extremely high speed. The Turbine thus paves the way for a range of unique and authentic artistic and horological creations. Perrelet presents the Turbine Chrono, once again demonstrating its creativity by proving capable of combining the Turbine effect with a horological complication. Hot on its heels, Perrelet also launches its Turbillon model representing a clever association of the Turbine with a Tourbillon caliber produced in its own workshops.
